In case you didn't see the post directly below this one, Macross is now three decades old. The big three-oh is without a doubt something to celebrate, and they're going all-out, up to the point of sweet videogames!
The game in question is the aptly named Macross 30, and I imagine you can guess what the "30" stands for. That said, we don't know a lot about what it's going to be like, as the latest trailer doesn't show a lot besides a whole mess of voice clips from key characters. Will it be a kickass mecha sim, ala Ace Frontier? A visual novel, ala all those budget anime tie-in titles? Or a rhythm game, like K-ON! Ho-kago Live!? I'm hoping for the first one, personally.
We don't even know what platforms it's going to be on. So far the only bone that's been thrown is that it'll feature performances from Haruka Chisuga, an idol-to-be that won the Miss Macross 30th Singer Wing talent contest, There will also be music from famed Vocaloid artist kz (he who composed "Packaged" among others).
