Madhouse to produce animated Peanuts shorts

This is pretty rad. Studio Madhouse, animators of such beloved series as Black Lagoon, Death Note, Trigun, Chihayafuru and a barrage of hit films, will be pairing with Peanuts Worldwide to produce animated shorts with Peanuts characters.

I have no idea what kind of scale we're looking at here, but I don't particularly care. I grew up with Peanuts, so any new projects involving those characters automatically catch my interest.

I'm wondering why they opted to go with Madhouse though. According to the post, the short will be released in Tokyo (or has been already). We'll keep an eye out to see if it pops up anywhere.
