The day that Glorious Nippon will once again rise to dominance over the world is coming much sooner than anticipate, because new intelligence has revealed that Japan's arms buildup has begun. A man in Ibaraki has tipped his hand, showing off the "Kabutom RX-03" rhinoceros beetle tank.
The Kabutom, with its "RX" designation, is without a doubt part of the same production line that produced the full-sized RX-78-2 Gundam currently on station at Odaiba (perhaps to guard critical intelligence assets?), and will likely form the bulk of Glorious Nippon's armored cavalry, cleaning up after the powerful one-off units strike fear into the hearts of the filthy, cowering gaijin. The Kabutom is 11 meters long (about 30 ft) and weighs 15 tons. It settles its weight on a series of underside wheels, but uses its powerful legs to move forward, crawling over the corpses of defeated foes.
The pilot can control the Kabutom from inside, using cameras mounted on the vehicle's exterior to see, transporting up to six power-armored soldiers loyal to the Emperor. But in case more finesse is needed, the beetle tank also includes remote control options.
We're doomed. If the US cannot complete its own power armor designs and make Liberty Prime operational, there will be no one left to keep Glorious Nippon from incorporating everyone into the Global Co-prosperity Sphere.
