Remember how I mentioned that MangaNovel was launching, and trying to get people to read manga with their service, as well as provide scanlators with a way to make money? Well, right now they're running a promotional contest for the "best translation" of Pharoah's Tomb Chapter 1. If you win, you'll get your very own iPod Touch.
Taking a look at the chapter, it seems to be a shoujo-y story from the 80's/90's, about a young Egyptian boy who died. Of course, everything isn't revealed in this first chapter, but that's juts a quick overview of what the pictures say.
The contest requires you to download their manga reader, their translation software, and create an account with them. The software lets you edit out text and put in your own. I'm giving the software a run-through to see how user-friendly it is. Anyways, the contest is running from October 10th until the end of November, and they'll announce the winner in January.
Anyone going to give it a shot?
