The Evil Empire New York Yankees are once again the World Series Champions. For their 27th title, the Yankees defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4 games to 2. In last night's Game 6, none came up bigger than Godzilla, otherwise known as Hideki Matsui. In the series clincher, Matsui came up huge with 6 RBI, including a two-run home run in the second inning. For his efforts, Matsui was rewarded with the World Series Most Valuble Player award. In doing so, Matsui becomes the first Asian player to win the MVP trophy in the post-season. Success is no stranger to Matsui, as he has already won 3 Japan Series titles before coming to the United States in the 2003 season.
