May'n Budokan concert tickets sell out in record time

May'n Budokan concert tickets sell out in record time photo

Many of you might know of the Budokan, one of the biggest and most popular venues to play at in Japan. No one was really surprised when May'n announced a concert there, especially after her fantastic rise in popularity due much to her part as Sheryl in Macross Frontier.

The concert takes place on Janurary 24th, and if you hoping to get tickets, you're out of luck. After the tickets went on sale, they sold out in 3 and a half hours -- all 8000 of them. While I'm sure there's a good portion that are Macross-loving otaku, I think it really shows her popularity, as if the chart topping albums didn't convince you already.

We here at Japanator love Macross Frontier, hell, we did a whole day dedicated to it. And now that May'n is really hitting it big, are you guys excited?
