Well, all I know is, when I watched Record of Lodoss War back in the deliciously awesome anime years of the nineties, Deedlit did not look like THAT. I mean, she was hot, but good lord ... talk about an upgrade. Anyway, we heard word via Otaku Review this afternoon that Media Blasters has confirmed that they are working on a release of the classic fantasy series, but there's no release date as of just yet. How about that!

Both the original OVA series (from Madhouse) and the AIC TV series were originally released in the US by Central Park Media, and while those releases were good ones, it'll be great to see it get all polished up and ready to be presented to a new generation of anime fans. This is the same stuff that I grumble about the golden days of on Japanator AM -- back when shows had more to offer than really cute girls making wide-eyed faces and doing nothing!
