The trailer for The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi game for the PSP, The Promise of Suzumiya Haruhi, is now live. We get a bit of a speech on just how successful Haruhi has been, with the sales of the DVDs, light novels, and everything else. We're then shown a bunch of the screens, along with the facial animation at work. There's also some footage of the mini-games that go on, like volleyball. Just be sure to spike Haruhi in the face.
There'll be two releases of the game, just to hit Haruhi fans in the wallets extra hard. The "premium box" release of the game will include what appears to be two discs, Yuki's blue sash-thingy, an SOS brigade patch, poster, bookmark, and a stand for turning your PSP into a Haruhi-themed clock. The regular edition, which will just have the game with it, will run for 5040 yen ($43.90), while the premium box, which is sure to sell out instantaneously, will go for 9450 yen ($82.31). So, be sure to check Play-Asia for the availability of the game. It's released on December 20th.
There's a figure advertised at the end of the ad, and I'm not sure if it's just a separate item, or if it's going to come with the box as well. That'd be swell, but we all know it's not going to happen.
