Metal Full Coat! King Gainer to get a Blu-ray box set photo

King, King, King Gainer, Metal Overman King Gainer! Oops, I did not intend to break into a song during this post. But anyways, Overman King Gainer is unleashing an Overskill that will allow it to transform into a Blu-ray box set that will include all 26 episodes of the series. And for all of you that wish to surpass the Gaming Champ, the King Gainer box set will also include a booklet with designs and illustrations from the series, liner notes to keep viewers up to date with certain facts, and a video that has Yoshiyuki Tomino talking about the series.

The whole thing will be boxed with a case that has illustrations by Kenichi Yoshida (Character designer for King Gainer and Eureka Seven), Akira Yasuda (Mechanical designs for King Gainer and Capcom artist), Kinu Nishimura (Capcom artist and character designer for King Gainer), and Eiji Nakada (Animation director for five episodes of King Gainer). And here's the part where it's going to hurt, the whole shindig is going to to be released on March 22, 2013 for 36,750 yen.

Since the set is coming with some liner notes, I hope that they cover some more info on the backstory where mankind moved to the cold regions of Earth after giving the rest of the planet back to the animals.

Besides Turn A Gundam, King Gainer was another show that gave us another positive side of Tomino, since the series never took itself seriously during Gainer's involvement with the people that are going on an exodus to the sacred land of Yapan. Hopefully, there's a slight chance that someone could re-license in the west, so the best that we can do is to wait and see.

Now let's do the monkey, and check out the show's opening theme by Yoshiki Fukuyama after the jump.
