Mini-Skirt Uchuu Kaizoku to get an animeDid the mini-skirt in the title catch your attention? Don't lie, I know it did. What you don't know is that space pirates will be the ones wearing these skirts. Pirates and skirts are sexy, aren't they? Mini-Skirt Uchuu Kaizoku (Mini-Skirt Space Pirate) is a novel written by Yuuichi Sasamoto, the same person who wrote Ariel. Sasamoto has won some seiun awards from his novels, as well as receiving an OAV for his Ariel story. It seems he has created yet another great story that it'll be receiving an anime. They made the announcement that Mini-Skirt Uchuu Kaizoku would be getting an anime adaptation in the 18th volume of the Sonorama Novels/Asashi Novels Montly Hotline online newsletter. The first volume was published last October and the second one will be coming out on April 20th. The story is about a high school girl named Marika, who is part of a space yacht club, as well as working a part-time job at a cafe. All of a sudden, two men who said they used to work for her deceased father tell her that she has to take command of the space pirate ship, Benten Maru. Since her father was the captin of the ship, she has to take it over because she's the next direct desecendant, according to a compact that was made during a war centuries ago. The story follows Marika on her new adventure. There is no other information in regards to the anime so we'll keep you updated when we hear more about it. Did you know?
