Mistwalker release tutorial for new iOS game Party Wave photo

Hironobu Sakaguchi, a name you may or may not recognize depending on how much you pay attention to the big shots behind the Final Fantasy game series and other big Square titles (until he left the company, anyway), has conceived a new upcoming iOS game called Party Wave in which you get to play as cute little animated people that like to surf it up. The game should be coming out real soon, as Siliconera reports they've submitted it to Apple already. Party Wave is set to cost US$1.99 at release.

Since the game is pretty much done, Mistwalker (The Last Story) have released a nifty tutorial for game play in which you get to see the basic features (the various characters that go out on the water to surf), and get an idea of the extra things that happen in the environment, like jellyfish appearing to sting your surfers or friendly aliens coming by on their UFOs to give you bonus stars. To see that video, head on over below the jump.

Party Wave is Mistwalker's first title for iOS, and it looks like they're working on two more. I'm only mildly interested in Party Wave looking at the trailer, but I am hopeful for these other projects and what the themes will be. As it turns out, Sakaguchi loves to surf in his spare time, so it's nice to see projects in which the creators are personally invested.

Again, if you're interested in checking out the tutorial, click through the jump and enjoy!
