Miyavi to rock Anime Matsuri in Houston, TX, April 10-12

We love Anime Matsuri. Look, we love it enough to give it its on tag on Japanator. We love it enough to insist that you go if at all possible -- it's that great of an event.

And you know who else is going to love it this year? Miyavi.

Following Anime Matsuri's tradition of top-notch musical guests, Japanese megastar Miyavi will take the stage this year in Houston, Texas, during the April 10-12 event. He'll rock the stage live in a special performance put together just for this event, and specially priced Miyavi merchandise will be available in Anime Matsuri's dealer's room after the show. In 2008, Miyavi set off on a 30+ show, 14 country tour, and now he's coming to Houston in 2009 to rock the U.S.

Wow. What a big act, and for an event that's only going on their third year? 

You're going to want to be there. I spoke with the heads of the event a couple of days ago, and I can tell you that they've got some really amazing things lined up. We will be there. We'll have more news and details on Anime Matsuri as we draw closer to April.

Oh, wait... what's this? It seems that a certain Japanese geek culture Web site is scheduled to host the Hentai Fest/Ultimate Ecchi panel event on Friday, April 10th from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. I wonder what site that could be!

I'd say, after seeing this new announcement, that Anime Matsuri is going to be packed this year. Better get over to Anime Matsuri and register.
