Moe Atlas makes the world a more adorable place

Moe Atlas makes the world a more adorable place photo

Ah, moe products. Sometimes they feel cynical and mercenary, like a simple illustration pasted onto a decidedly mundane watermelon box, and at other times they feel genuinely inspired, as with World Gals: Know Your Moe Nations, a book covering 74 of the world's cutest countries.

It's not as off-the-wall as Axis Powers Hetalia or as witty as Afghanis-tan, but it works, doing its job of making education "HHHNNNGGG." Other than the art each country's page contains notes about geography and history and all that other stuff, but some entries are more peculiar than others.

I particularly like the entry for North Korea (pictures of which you can check out below courtesy AkibaBlog), which depicts a character dressed in a People's Army uniform exclaiming that "I didn't do anything wrong!" South Korea "Just wants us to to be friends!" and Britain's maid-lookin' noting that "My master is a woman."

Soooo cute! If only they found a way to do this for math, maybe I'd have had an easier time in high school...
