[Update: New screenshots of the English version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate have been added to the gallery.]

Even though the HD screenshots for the Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate resemble the graphics of the 3DS version, that doesn't change the fact that they are still pretty for what they are. I mean, look at the scales on that Rathalos; you could practically see the detail put into the texturing.

Running at a resolution of 1080p, hunters will get to see the detail in other monsters pop out as well -- the Jhen Mohran fight is going to look nice. If you plan to use the Wii U controller in the game, then you will be glad to know that the game will take notes from the 3DS version and allow players to manage items through the touch screen.

Since the Wii U version of MonHun 3U is basically the 3DS game with online multiplayer and graphics at a higher resolution, I hope that the Wii U version ends up being US $10.00 more than the 3DS one; otherwise US $59.99 would be a bit too much for consumers to pay.

As a quick reminder, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate comes out in Japan on December 8th, and you can expect the Wii U and 3DS version to come out in North America and Europe on March of next year.

Before you head off to hunt more monsters, be sure to check out the images in the section below.
