More information on the next BlazBlue game, Chrono Phantasma, has started to roll in thanks to this week's Famitsu. The arcade version of the game will hit this calendar year with the console release being sometime after. We know now that the story takes place primarily in Ikaruga, a location often referenced in the previous games. Additionally, the story mode will be divided into three, rather than having an individual one for each character. As each one progresses, you'll be switching characters. Once all three stories are completed, a true route will be unlocked. I'm thinking that each of the three story modes will probably follow each of the major groups that are currently active in the narrative.

While BlazBlue producer Toshimichi Mori also noted that Mu and Lambda aren't in the game, he hints that playing the story mode might give some clues as to what's going on with those characters. Possible unlockables? Who knows!
