New announced anime: .hack//G.U. TRILOGY

New announced anime: .hack//G.U. TRILOGY photo


A new .hack OVA, .hack//G.U. TRILOGY has just revealed itself on cyberconnect2’s website. This OVA is destined, by the Gods, to be released on the 25th of January; on both DVD and Blu-ray. This is more like a movie rather than your average episodic OVA. So far what we know is that .hack//G.U. TRILOGY will be 80 minutes long and in CG. The trilogy part of the name tells us that this will be a brief retelling of the .hack//G.U. series of games. For those of you who don’t play the games (me included), I think this will be a nice chance to see what ‘player killing’ in The World is all about.

The .hack//signs anime was pretty good. The other[s]... didn't care for them, and never played the games.

Let's hope this OVA is good. It looks like it will be. ^_^
 


Dot Hack is like the bastard child of the RPG world. No one really wants to admit they play it, but they do. My Gamestop had 6 reserves and 4 extra copies come in, by noon all were gone and they had to turn a few people away. Strange how much people like the game.

The anime always sported good music and decent animation, even if the story was sorta weird. I'll pick it up.

Hm, might be interesting. I wonder if they'll do corresponding light novels like with the first .hack series.

.hack//sign along with its 4 corresponding videogames for the ps , .hack//legend of the twilight , and .hack//roots and its 3 iorresponding videogames for the ps2 are all extremely very well done and i expect the same will be done for .hack//trilogy and i cannot wait till it is released , if you havent watched or played any of the series you are missing out . its definatley one of the greatest anime series ive seen , ever.
