New Magi CM has voices and funny faces

5:00 AM on 09.30.2012 // Elliot Gay

Not a single rice bowl in sight!

With Magi's premiere date edging closer and closer, we finally get our first real look at the voice acting in the series now that the cast has been revealed. The new CM uploaded to the Official Site is purely Aladdin and Alibaba, but it sounds and looks fantastic.

I've actually been purchasing the manga volumes one by one since last week in an effort to prepare myself to cover Magi for Annotated Anime, and it's been a blast so far. The characters are likable and the setting is something truly different from what I've seen over the last few years.

The voice cast is large and filled with big names, but the three main characters will be played by Kaori Ishihara (Aladdin), Yuuki Kaji (Alibaba) and Haruka Tomatsu (Morgiana).

Check out the CM here (upper left hand corner) and let us know what you think in the comments below!

UPDATE: Added a longer trailer after the break. Thanks Duckroll.
