New Tsukihime remake artwork is a bit surprising

New Tsukihime remake artwork is a bit surprising photo

Type Moon fans have been waiting quite some time for Tsukihime to get the remake treatment. I can only imagine that after the awful anime adaptation aired (what anime?), fans were probably erupting into a blind fury. I've always enjoyed joking that the Tsukihime remake will never get released since we very rarely if ever see anything new about it pop up. Looks like this year's summer Comiket has dropped a few more breadcrumbs for fans.

In this unfinished piece of artwork we get a decent look at the redesigned Arcueid, Ciel and Akiha. The former and the latter look like polished versions of the old character art so no surprises there. Ciel on the other hand has clearly underwent some heavy tweaking. I'm personally rather fond of this new look considering I wasn't a big fan of her design until the later iterations of Melty Blood.

Check out the redesigns below. What do you Tsukihime fans think? Prefer the original design? Excited to see real news about this remake? Sound off!

And for those of you wondering, the header image is from Carnival Phantasm.

So this is where Dragon's Crown's great menu comes from

See that sweet scene up in the header? That's the frankly awesome-looking character-select menu from Dragon's Crown, a game worked on by Vanillaware and its lead artist George Kamitani. Cool menus like that don't come from ju...
