New York Times' top ten manga for 2/6/12

A very happy Monday to you all, readers. We're celebrating the start to a great new week with a ton of new releases sitting on the latest top ten list. Kodansha comics and Yen Press are sitting pretty with control over most of the list. It's no surprise that Sailor Moon and Black Butler are topping things off, but it is nice to see Durarara!! make it into the top ten on its first release.

Shizuo would be proud. Let's look at the full list, and see where your favorite titles shake out:

2. Black Butler Vol. 8 - Week 1
3. High School of the Dead Vol. 5 - Week 1
4. Durarara!! Vol. 1 - Week 1
5. Pandora Hearts Vol. 8 - Week 1
6. Naruto Vol. 54 - Week 4
7. Arisa Vol. 6 - Week 1
8. Black God Vol. 15 - Week 1
9. Naruto Vol. 53 - Week 8
10. Rosario + Vampire Season II Vol. 7 - Week 4

All in all, it's a good mix of titles -- not solely dominated by one publisher, and not all made up of the big franchises. Sure, High School of the Dead is a big one now, but I was skeptical of how it'd be received over here. Congrats to Yen for doing such a bang-up job with the manga.
