New York Times' top ten manga for 3/11/13

5:00 PM on 03.11.2013 // Brad Rice

It's a big week for new titles on the list, dear readers. This week, Battle Angel Alita: Last Order climbs to the #1 position, but we have five other titles that appear for the first time on this list. It's good to see new blood is making its way into the list.

Let's take a look at the whole gang:

1. Battle Angel Alita: Last Order Vol. 17 - Week 2
2. Naruto Vol. 60 - Week 4
3. Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Vol. 2 - Week 7
4. Pandora Hearts Vol. 14 - Week 1
5. Triage X Vol. 2 - Week 1
6. The Betrayal Knows My Name Vol. 5 - Week 1
7. Haganai: I Don't Have Many Friends Vol. 2 - Week 1
8. Umineko: When They Cry - Legend of the Golden Witch Vol. 2 - Week 1
9. Sailor Moon Vol. 9 - Week 5
10. Bleach Vol. 55 - Week 4

With Betrayal and Umineko, it's good to see these longer-running titles continue to carry steam as they go on. With them, and what I expect to happen with Triage X, is word of mouth and friendly recommendations encourage more people to pick up the title, and we see growth in the later volumes.

The industry is alive and kicking, folks.
