Newtype celebrates the end of Endless Eight... by showing Endless Eight

You hear the news about that HUGE Haruhi announcement Anime Newtype was going to make? Well, turns out that it's hugely lame for the most part (as expected). The Anime Newtype Channel will be celebrating the end of Endless Eight by holding some events on their website, starting off with a talk with Aya Hirano (Haruhi), Yuko Goto (Mikuru), and Minori Chihara (Nagato).

Event number 2 is.... a special screening of Endless Eight available August 28-29, along with an "Endless Eight Cult Quiz." Does Kadokawa think anybody is going to want to see anything related to Endless Eight again? As Kyon says above, I've had enough of it already (and so has everybody else).

Besides that, there will also be some announcements about Haruhi goods and other Haruhi-related stuff on Anime Newtype, but probably nothing all that important. Kadokawa, KyoAni, I'd rather know if my favorite volume of the novels, Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu (The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya), is going to make it in this Haruhi season. If the 6 wasted episodes of Endless Eight cause it to be pushed back... well, it ain't gonna be pretty.
