So yeah, today is my last full day of vacation in Tokyo and my wife and I decided to take one last journey before coming home to pack. We went to Jinbocho today, which is a booksellers district. There are many used book shops there, but we found one in particular that really stuck out. It's called Bunken Rock Side and has many back issues of music magazines as well as some bandscores and whatnot. After searching for a bit and coming across a March 2009 issue of Guitar Magazine w/ articles on Go!Go!7188 and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, my wife noticed that they had some old L'arc~en~Ciel bandscores. One of particular interest was for the album "Ray". With a price tag of ¥4000, I had to pick it up. I've seen these go on ebay for at least double that!
The very cool part was the woman that was working the register. She noticed our interest in the L'arc~en~Ciel stuff and gave us a pin that was used to promote the album "Real". I've never seen it before and on the back side it says Ki/oon Not For Sale.
She was very cool and helpful. Definitely someone that I will remember from this trip!
