The rumors are true, according to Nikkei. The controller for Nintendo's upcoming home console will indeed have a six inch touch screen, leaving me scratching my head as to exactly how it will be incorporated into anything at all. It will also have a camera and rechargeable battery, and can even be taken on the go as a portable system.

Seriously, Nintendo? A new DS every single year wasn't enough for your portable gaming machinations?

You can color me quite the skeptic, though I must remind myself that I was equally skeptical of my now-beloved DS system. Maybe if they use the controller screen for menus or status screens like the the DS Castlevania games did it could even work.

Be fucking patient, dude. We'll see it in a few days at E3. I'm optimistic, considering how much Ubisoft is praising it.
There are defenitly some cool applications for this. I can imagine an RPG where you select attacks using your touchscreen, :D that's be pretty neat.

Plus I just hope this gives them an excuse to remake the original Crystal Chronicles. :D That game was amazing and really deserves to not be tied down to the GBA connection.
I'm a huge Nintendo fanboy and I can't wait to see what Project Cafe is all about. I really hope to see some more Pikmin.
I cant imagine how much money this controller will cost.... like 100$ ? 400$ for 4 controllers+the console (lets say 300$)
That's not good enough for me. I want five controllers that combine into a giant controller!
"The controller for Nintendo's upcoming home console will indeed have a six inch touch screen, leaving me scratching my head as to exactly how it will be incorporated into anything at all." You must lack any creativity at all if you truly can't think of ONE thing this can be used for. Very sad.
I'm one in the group of many Nintendo faithful, however I'm just confused as heck with this new system. We'll see at E3, but they better put on a great dog and pony show.
"You wanna play Smash Bros? Buy your own damn controller!"

I can see the cost of a controller going about $80-100.
I'm sad. I spend my money on games, not controllers...the NGP has a 5 in. screen, and THAT's huge already...

Do not want...
... this scares me. >_>
I don't see why anyone could be sceptical about it, the controller is simply the bottom have of s DS while your TV is the top half. Developers have been playing with the format for years.
I'm already calling it, Nintendo and Sony swap spots next generation, and it's a repeat of PS2 vs. Gamecube.
NO it sucks. your going to have to look up and down between the touch screen and your tv. I foresee many headaches coming.
