I missed out on the Viz panel, so I'm just going to rely on ANN, AnimeVice and PR from Viz to help me get through this post.

Viz's headlining piece of news is that they're going to be simulcasting the release of the new season of InuYasha starting on October 3rd over at ShonenSunday.com. Seeing as it's been a relatively big success with FUNimation streaming One Piece and Fullmetal Alchemist, so they could attract a big audience with InuYasha.

As for their new licenses:

-Gente by Natsume Ono
-Toshokan Sensou (Library Wars) by Kiiro Yumi
-Bob and His Funky Crew by Puncho Kondoh
-What's the Answer by Tondabayashi
-Nice to Meet You, Kamisama by Julietta Suzuki
-Grand Guignol Orchestra by Kaori Yuki

They've also licensed Slum Online by Hiroshi Sakarazuka and The Next Continent by Issui Ogawa for their Haikasoru line of books. I'm glad to see Issui Ogawa getting licensed again, especially after reading The Lord of the Sands of Time.

I'm especially looking forward to reading Toshokan Sensou, and hope that this means the anime will follow shortly. I've been waiting to watch that for a while now.

@Sewl: It will be subtitled, yes. Keep an eye on ShonenSunday.com, Viz's website that manages the InuYasha license, and they'll put up the time. Remember, it'll be airing October 3rd.

InuYasha teams up with Parco to get its own shop

To this day, I still don't get why this show was ever popular. I suppose the fact that it was a magical, furry rendition of Ruroni Kenshin probably made some people happy--okay, more than some. Really, though? Do th...

Inuyasha , Honey & Clover and NANA are now available on Hulu; better late than never

I'm really not a huge fan of Inuyasha, so much so that I'm at a loss as to what to say. No doubt the anime was immensely popular in it's day, and still maintains a huge fan base. Having aired on Cartoon Network probably helpe...
