NYCC '12: Yen Press adds Puella Magi spin-offs and more

NYCC '12: Yen Press adds Puella Magi spin-offs and more photo

If you thought that your Madoka fix has been quenched, think again! Yen Press is adding two Madoka Magica mangas in the form of Puella Magi Oriko Magica and Puella Magi Kazumi Magica. Both stories will most likely treat us to a new perspective on the suffering behind being a Magical Girl, since Oriko Magica takes place in an alternate timeline that involves Magical Girl hunts; whereas Kazumi Magica is a spin-off story that focuses on Kazumi learning about the dark secrets behind her lost memories.

Dark Magical Girls stories may be great and all, but nothing beats the fact that Yen Press is bringing over the two sequels to the greatest manga of all time. Get ready to rejoice to the max, because K-On's sequel that focuses on the main cast's college life, along with the story that focuses on the rest of Azusa's high school life are going to join Yen Press's line-up.

To answer one of life's most important questions, Yen Press is also adding Are you Alice? by Ai Ninomiya to their release roster.

Besides their new manga acquisitions, Yen Press is going to do a worldwide digital release of Square Enix's manga titles starting in the winter of 2012 -- now that's a lot of manga to go through.

At this rate, Yen Press has manage to secure a good amount of new titles that will keep their readers occupied for quite a while. With Square's selection obtained, it's going to be a good while before they run out of mangas to translate for the masses.
