I must admit, that was quite funny. The Nyoron one wasn't that great, but it was still kinda funny (& cute).

That was pretty bad.... Hell, I've seen flash animations that had better production values... and that were funnier. I feel sorry for you Haruhi fans; I don't think Mayu from Elfen Lied was abused as bad as you guys have been so far...

cute...but totally lacking of the fun and humor that the main show brings.

The Churuya one was faithful. It had the exact same humour as the first few strips, though it's humour.... I suppose it's not for everyone.

The Haruhi-chan one.... I found it funny because I saw a similar joke in Azumanga Daioh.

And I don't really expect production values to be good, seeing this is a filler series released free on youtube.

In fact, the best thing in these vidoes were the naturally produed subtitles. This, was a good thing. (now, if only Bandai will get Wendee lee, Crispin Freeman and company to do the English versions)

I know the whole Nyoron thing... it's been around forever, but that doesn't make it funny. We've all seen the whole smoked cheese thing done to death at this point. Also, the thing I was getting at about the production quality wasn't so much the quality, but the fact that they weren't able to make it in time for the original broadcast??? I mean, come on... I could learn how to use flash and then make it in flash in about three days for 8 hours a day by myself (I'd still need the voice actors of course though).

Also, the first video I didn't find very funny at all... it just seemed like it was using the characters personalities the way we've seen them used for ages now and not really doing anything in particular interesting....and New Years was 2 months ago...

Heck, all I'm really trying to say is why are they wasting their time doing pet projects like this which the sole purpose of are to milk to death the few fans left like you guys (who I feel sorry for at this point), when instead they could put that effort into finishing the damn second season already. Which might I add, might actually get some of the old fans back instead of turning them into jaded nuts like me who pretty much don't care anymore.

I'd sooner flip Kadokawa and Kyoani the birdie when it comes to Haruhi then pay them another dollar or read another article on when the show is gonna come out at this point....

I have to say, for various reasons, this was almost painful to watch.

You know, my original fear was that, when they were going to this Haruhi-chan thing, they were actually going to air it on TV, and milk some profit from it in the end. Thankfully, those fears have been quelled.

Also, how certain are you that the second season isn't coming ? Or rather, that it isn't going to come on some convenient date ? Yes, some would say that KyoAni should just release it, but I suspect they have their reasons. Reasons along the lines of 7th of Jul, when the Disappearance happened in the novel, and so on.

What I'm more hoping is that all their desires to put chibi expressions, over-sized sweatdrops and character exaggerations will be restricted to these shorts. The original anime didn't have that, and I hope the second season won't.

So I'll be patient. Yes, KyoAni has their theatrics, but that's what makes it fun. I'm just sad that they're bound to market a prospective meme of a K-On/Haruhi pairing, when Suzumiya's true anime-pairing soulmate is Fujioka's series.

I'm beginning to wonder if you're a masochist calling their stunts "fun"...lol

And I'm not saying it isn't going to come, I'm just saying the second season is something I don't really care when it comes out anymore, and there's probably a number of other former Haruhiists like myself in a similar boat.
I mean, if I had a dollar every time either of us has seen a "Haruhi Season 2 confirmed!" or reference to season 2's release date, and every time not tell us when, I'd have enough money to buy us each a pint of Haagen Dazs.

At this point I've pretty much moved on to other things that I'm getting at least as much enjoyment out of, so they can do whatever they want with season 2 and I won't really care. If it takes another year or two to come out and it turns out bad, no skin off my back. But if it comes out tomorrow and turns out to be greater than Gurren Lagann, then hey, awesome!
