Otakon 08; Bandai Surprise panel, live-blogging hissatsu photo

Here we go, time for the biggest panel of the convention, or well something like that. Join me as I live blog this crazy blog.

8:06 -- We are beginning now, and they don't want any video or audio recordings; crazy ne? However they just moved in giant boxes full of surprises for us.

8:08 -- I can feel the excitement in the air. An Asian man just said hello and everyone went crazy! We have lots of staff today at the panel; like eight people. I don't want to write down all these people's names, but I just want to let you know that all of them are epic in their own right. I clapped too. HE SAID MASSIVE GIVEAWAY!

8:11 --  They are going to play a trailer, what's it going to be?

8:14 -- The .Hack movies, the computer graphics one, what's their names again?

8:17 -- Ah, the .Dothack /GU trilogy, and its their announcement for this year's Otakon. Does that mean its the only one?

8:20 -- Now they are talking about Hayate the Combat Butler, and that they are releasing the censored and non censored sound track in english.

8:22 -- Oh god they are giving out something, a Gundam Seed Destiny shirt. Now getting shot on the street will be justified.

8:24 -- Yuri Lowenthal is here, and fully clothed. Gia tells me he's a good voice actor.

8:25 -- He is showing off the Gurren Lagann box set, that comes with the bi-lingual release. Holy crap it comes with a green lite up core drill. Also the box opens from Lagann's mouth and eats the DVDs!

...more after the jump.

8:26 -- DVDs covers are shown. Using Japanese box art. It looks like awsome. And Gurren Lagann bloopers! Most likely as a DVD extra. Leeron is extra gay, talking about men's jibblies and the like.

8:29 -- Hot spring, a place where men meet and fall in love. Amen.

8:31 -- Gia says she might want to watch the dub now. AMAZING! Now more giveaways!

8:32 -- Haruhi arm bands were hidden under chairs. Won Suzaku figure and giant Code Geass banner! These two are Gods among otaku. Or dead in the hallway.

8:34 -- Eureka 7 bloopers now. More gay jokes ahoy.

8:36 -- Time for more giveaways! Using Eureka 7 questions. The winner won a box set signed by the director.

8:42 -- Gia wins! And falls! Everyone laugh and then hugs her.

8:44 -- Yuri Lowenthal is talking about his voice work in Code Geass, said he cried two times in the booth; crybaby!

8:45 -- Getting ready for the next give away. Time for Haruhi bloopers. Nagato going to pose naked for the site, hells yes!

8:47 -- Not enough gifts for everyone, how sad! Now times for ghost slayers bloopers. Bloopers are the best.

8:49 -- Lucky Star bloopers time. Mai waifu smells like fish.

8:51 -- Throwing Scrapped Princess figures, or giving them away with the magic power of trivia. Now they are playing the Lucky Star dance for some reason, but it isn't working.

8:53 -- Forcing some young otaku to do the Lucky Star dance, his honor is not worth a Scrapped Princess figure.

8:56 -- Brad doesn't know his Lucky Star trivia. FAIL!

8:59 -- Everyone yell JAM! JAM Project is here! I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN!!

9:00 -- They love Lucky Star! This is amazing!

9:01 -- JAM Project took the sailor fuku from the Luck Star. Now they are wearing the sailor fuku shirt, and so are we!

9:03 -- Now we dance to JAM Project's sailor fuku, now lwe are dancing.

9:09 -- We danced like villains with JAM Project, and it felt great.

9:10 -- Now they are questioning us!

9:12 -- Wants to know what our favorite anime is. They called us otaku.

9:14 -- Asking us if we ever been to Japan. I'm not sure exactly where that it.

9:17 -- We inform him of the wonders of the internet and the Japanator. We find out they spend too many hours on Nico Nico. Sumimasen.

9:18 -- Now they are showing us some JAM Project songs, or at least attemping to.

9:23 -- They want to know if we wear sailor fuku at our schools, and I tell them I do.

9:26 -- Now they are talking about their favorite anime, Dragon Ball, Slayers, One Piece, Devil Man, Cuttie Honey among many others. Can't get DVD working, somewhat fail. Playing "Rocks" with CD!

9:30 -- Panel over! EPIC!
