I called this one a while ago, but we've gotten confirmation from Persona 4: Arena's director, Kazuhisa Wada, that the game's story mode will be somewhere around 30-40 hours long. As he describes it on the Persona Blog, the game is a full on sequel to the original game, telling the story of what happened after the events of P4. The entire story mode is fully voiced and is done in the same visual novel style as the BlazBlue games, only significantly longer. Wada also goes on to assure Persona fans that this isn't the sort of bonus story mode that's found in most fighting games; it's got a huge amount of volume.
Again, this isn't necessarily brand new news, but it is the first real set of numbers we've got from Wada since this project got underway. What this confirms to me is that even if you're not particularly a fan of competitive fighting games, there's still a lot to enjoy in Persona 4: Arena.
We've also got a brand new story trailer for you, which as far as I can tell seems to back up everything that Wada has to say about the game. Check out the trailer after the break!
Why isn't the game in my hands yet?
