Pepsi Nex running week long manga campaign photo

No, this particular Pepsi Nex has nothing to do with the Matsumoto Jun Pepsi Nex Zero ad above, but the picture of the manga Pepsi Nex campaign was too small for a header and I have a gigantic crush on Matsumoto Jun. So you see the logic?

Anyway, Japanese manga blog Jouhou Chuudokusha reports that Pepsi Nex is taking out an ad on the cover of Comic Spirits on Monday, Manga Action on Tuesday, Business Jump on Wednesday, and Young Jump on Thursday. No word if there will be a Friday cover, but you can get a peek at them in the gallery.

I like the idea that Pepsi Nex is being marketed to manga readers, but let's face it -- its a damn good drink. I like it tons better than Diet Pepsi (although most Japanese sodas taste tons better than American ones in my mind). I'd buy it if I saw it on the cover of my manga. I'd be more likely to buy it if Matsumoto Jun handed me a bottle of it, though.

Yesterday I watched an Arashi no Shukudai-kun with Minami Akina, and he said he only drinks Pepsi Nex. I don't know if the companies pick popular people who like their product to do CMs, or if the people who advertise those products are obligated to mention them on TV shows, but it's great how Matsujun loves Pepsi Nex and advertises the product.

Same goes for Toda Erika and Puyo Puyo.
