Persona 4: The Golden is REALLY into mopeds

So, there’s this one scene in Persona 4, where Chie and Yukiko “accidentally” spend all of Yosuke's money, and naturally, he gets pissed off, because he was saving that money to buy a scooter.

Well, it seems Atlus has taken pity on poor Yosuke, because I just noticed (yeah yeah, file this under “slowpoke”) that their PlayStation Vita-bound remake Persona 4: The Golden is overflowing with scooters. In fact, they’ve even pulled an Oprah, handing off mopeds to the rest of the cast. You get a moped! And you get a moped! And you get a moped! Everybody gets a moped!

Hell, P4: The Golden is so obsessed with mopeds that the new Madhouse-animated OP features some pretty trippy artwork of everyone riding them. Better still, the Investigation Team can take their whips into the TV World, and use them in special attacks!

Check out some screens below. I have to say that I object to the bike they’ve given Naoto. Naoto needs to have one of those classic whips that badass shotas ride, like that motorcycle from Kino’s Journey. That one just screams “Youthful hero detective!”
