This is a very good day for Persona 3 fans because Moon Phase just announced to the world that A-1 pictures is adapting the RPG franchise Persona into a television anime series. Named Persona –trinity soul-, this anime will be directed by Jun Matsumoto, one of the directors on Blood+, and is slated to be released January 2008.

The bad news, at least for me, is that the anime takes place a decade after the end of Persona 3, and will be centered around new characters in a new futuristic environment. The story we know so far is that the dead have risen once again (with inside out skin), and three brothers will receive a Persona that will probably be kick ass in one way or another. I’m sadden by the fact that this anime will not include the cast from Persona 3, cause a Persona witout Yukaru is a Persona i don't want to be a part of.
