All the 2chan cat wanted was his own video game -- is that such a bad thing to ask for? He asked Santa for one that was just like his favorite game, Super Mario Brothers, for the Nintendo Home Entertainment System. Instead of getting something that prints money, or even a cheap knock-off like Sonic, he gets Mario hell.
This is a game so impossible to beat that almost every little thing within the game is a tool sent by the devil to aggravate any man or cat to the brink if insanity. It cares little about the precious lives you own, even allowing you to enter into negatives; who knows how you will have to pay up for those extra lives lost after you complete the game.
Now I’m not entirely sure if this is a real game or where it is located, if it is indeed real, but all I know is that it is extremely hilarious. You can view the other 3 stages after the jump.
I think that might be an actual mod, perhaps with some editing done afterwards.
I don't think that anyone would think to add graphical artifacts just to make it look like a real mod.

The rest of the game is not that bad, I died around 400 times. The game is hard but it's really fun and filled with gaming nostagia.

For some reason, I can't make heads or tails on how to get this game to run. I know that it requires some kind of customized DirectX libcode, but without any kind of understanding of Japanese, I'm left out in the cold.
