Anime Expo '08: Ouran High School Host Club cast finally announced

Anime Expo '08: Ouran High School Host Club cast finally announced photo

FUNimation had been teasing us for what seems like months, announcing rather tiny roles on their website as to who would be voiced for Ouran High School Host Club (the biggest role they announced was Casanoda). It looks like they've been saving everything up for this point, where they've finally announced the cast:

Fujioka Haruhi will be played by Caitlin Glass (Winry in FMA, Saya in Black Cat, and Yakumo in School Rumble)
Tamaki Suou will be played by Vic Mignogna, John's bestest friend ever
Kyouya Ootori will be played by Jay Michael Tatum (Eneru in One Piece and Rikichi in Samurai 7)
Hikaru Hitachiin will be played by Greg Ayres (Koyuki in BECK, Shinji in Full Metal Panic!, and Tsujido in Speed Grapher)
Kaoru Hitachiin will be played by Todd Haberkorn (Yamato in Suzuka, Kazuya in Ghost Hunt, and Kimihiro in xxxHolic)
Takashi Morinozuka will be played by Travis Willingham (Roy Mustang in FMA, Ginko in Mushishi, and Andreas in Code Geass)
Mitsukuni Haninozuka will be played by Luci Christian (Yukari in Azumanga Daioh, Kaname in Full Metal Panic!, and Margaret in Madlax)
Ranka Fujioka will be played by Mike McFarland (Master Roshi in FUNi's DBZ dub, Goemon in Lupin III titles, and Cain in Trinity Blood)
Umehito Nekozawa will be played by Patrick Seitz (Luke Valentine in the Hellsing OAV, Mamoru in Higurashi, and Franky in One Piece)

Not only that, the show is going to be released in a season-long box set in October, containing 13 episodes. Good move, as I loved getting Blood+ in a large box all at once. Unfortunately, I'm not too excited about this cast -- especially having Vic play Tamaki. Sorry boys, but I'm not planning to watch this series dubbed. Are any of you happy about the voice actors announced? If not, at least we can be happy in finally getting a release date.

"Sorry boys, but I'm not planning to watch this series dubbed."

Pft, you say this like John isn't the only Jtor writer who enjoys dubs. =P
Finding out who is playing the voice of Tamaki made me throw up a little in my mouth...
I just pains me that when I buy this DVD, it feels like im giving money to Vic McNugget.

PS:
O WRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

McNugget makes me likes subs.
What sorcery is this?
What, no word or pics about the cool Ouran costumes? *sniffles*
Sorry, Trish. Wasn't there, so you'll have to yell at Gia about it.

And Novakaine, I'll always give the dub a shot. I don't hate them outright -- I just recognize they're costly.
One thing I have always been amazed to learn since I started watching anime is the fans love and reactions for voice casts. I'm a sub watcher, so I'm always amazed at how big a part of the industry it is. I always thought of it as secondary thing, but it's really way up there! One of the many awesome things about this hobby! :D
Is Ouran High School host Club the same as The melancholy of fukijoka haruhi like i mean does it have different episodes or it is the exact same anime? please answer me someone :D
