Tokyopop now working with Gentosha to stay alive photo

Keeping themselves afloat, Tokyopop has announced a deal with Gentosha comics to be a place to provide "sublicensing agency services" for Gentosha's series, outside of Asia, France, and Italy. We've seen the two companies bumping uglies before when they worked on Rozen Maiden, Gravitation, and Lament of the Lamb.

Besides the publishing end of things, the two companies are going to be working together towards "co-development opportunities in the digital, film, and merchandising spaces." So, the new branch of Tokyopop is finally going to have something new to work with as they start shopping around Hollywood. They've got to compete with Viz and Sueisha-Shogakugan Productions.

Is there anything that's still on Tokyopop's slate that you'd like to see on the big screen?

I just want Tokyopop to get the darn Fate/Stay Night manga out before they die. I mean, they license it and make it so I can't read it online RIGHT before I planned to, and then a week later their up a creek without a paddle....
Does Tokyopop need to work to stay alive?
I realise Viz, Del Ray {and others} are strong competitors but I've always seen Tokyo Pop as one of the market leaders.
I wouldn't mind seeing a Western D.N. Angel live-action movie..
Yeah a live-action D.N Angel would be cool and I could see it working. The only print series I follow by them is Rebirth. If Tokyopop dies I hope soemone will pick it up.
