Move over, hot chicks: this cosplay's about to blow you out of the water photo

Ok, don't get me wrong -- I love Japanese girls dressed as characters from manga and anime, and the more boobs tumbling out of tops, the better (at least, most of the time). But seriously, you can be otaku to the millionth power and not come close to the awesome levels this guy is rocking. Spotted at Lucca Comics & Games 2008 , he even thought to bring a stand to perfectly accessorize for photo opportunities such as the one you see above.

In case you're wondering, he isn't glued down with a servant carrying him from place to place -- as you can see in one of the other shots, he also stands up for other pictures. If he had done the street mime thing and stood perfectly posed for hours on end, he might have earned himself some sort of award, not to mention back and neck pain straight from hell.

Did he have any Indian counterparts?
Awesome but now were gonna be seeing copycats at cons everywhere.
It would suck to try this cosplay in the summer. Nevertheless, it's awesome.
That's pretty awesome. For a minute there I thought it was a photoshoped picture.
he was my favorite one to play with
That is made of awesome

why is it the first thing i see in that photo is that damn smashed blue bottle?
Original enough to warrant a collector's edition I would think.
That's Awesome.
Now that is impressive
Ahhh, the good old days from my childhood
I WANT TO MELT HIM SO BAD!

The only thing he's missing is a huge fire cracker between his legs. XD
Awesome figure here for sure. As you said anime and manga are great but sometimes you have to think about soldiers too. Thanks for the great pictures in this one.
