Macross Frontier movie will possibly be released this fall

7:10 PM on 02.23.2009 // Eva Duenas

The tentative movie release date was announced in an interesting way during the "Macross: The Super Dimension Space Launching Ceremony" event at AsoBitCity in Akihabara. I am sure you are familiar with vehicles being covered in character art in Japan -- that is how this annoucement was made. Outside of AsoBitCity, they had the mini-van completely covered until they were ready to reveal the news. While there is no date nor title set in stone, the anticipated movie many Macross Frontier fans have been waiting for will be coming sooner than we thought. I'm eager for this movie because I seriously need an answer to the annoying love triangle.

Lucky fans of this series not only received the news they've all been waiting for, but the actual voice actors of Alto, Ranka, and Sheryl were present at this event. The voice actors performed live audio to a showing of a promotional video for the movie.

There was a lot more offered during this event so be sure to check out ANN's coverage for more information.
