Many of us are happy that Power Rangers Samurai has ended for quite awhile -- and good riddance too, since it gave us the time to rest up before the next installment lands on Nick. After many trailers that were compiled of stock footage from Super Sentai, we are finally treated to one that throws the actual Power Rangers footage into the mix.
Is it me, or does it look like Saban is running out of original names for their certain aspects of the new series? Then again, Saban might be throwing an unintentional/intentional shout out to Super Sentai, since the Goseiger's first giant robot is called Gosei Great. However, there's also a chance that they wanted to keep it consistent with the card stock footage from Goseiger.
In all seriousness, the name doesn't bother me too much, it's just that I am curious about the reasoning behind their decision. We also get a peek inside their base, which looks like a ghetto version of the command center -- the great Gosei must be broke. If you look closely, you can also see the Ranger Keys that might play a major role in the show's second half.
Despite my random nitpicking, I do hope that we get a show that does justice to the 20 years that Power Rangers has been around for. If things go bad, then I still have Kyoryuger, Garo's two new installments, and Akibaranger's second season to look forward to in regards to upcoming toku shows.
Power Rangers Megaforce's first episode will air on February 2nd during the afternoon, and you can check out the other three teasers in the section below.
