Power Rangers Season 1 to morph into DVDs on AugustI bet you all remember when Shout! Factory announced that they were going to release over 700 episodes of Power Rangers on DVD, right? I am going to assume that you all did and reveal the good news to everyone. Get your Power Coins ready because Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One is morphing its way into DVDs on August 21st. The first box set will come with 30 episodes packed into three DVDs for the price of $19.93 -- now that's what I call a good deal. And you can expect Zordon to call upon the second volume of Power Rangers: Season One during the fall season, which will also include 30 episodes. If you thought that this was the only option to come out of the Command Center, then you are in luck. Time Life and Shout! Factory are also doing a campaign where you can obtain Power Rangers Season One through Seven on a 40 disk DVD set, which will include the first three seasons of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Alien Rangers (It is actually considered as the finale for season three.), Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, Power Rangers in Space, and Power Rangers Lost Galaxy. The special box set will also include some special features, such as a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers retrospective and various interviews with the cast and team -- maybe we will finally learn the truth behind their reasoning for not using the Dairanger (With the exception of Tommy.) and Kakuranger costumes as the team's upgrade for Power Rangers: Season Two and Three. Time Life plans to release the DVD box set on July 30, which will be available through their direct-response TV and online campaign. Taking into account that this is going to be a campaign release, you might want to jump in on this one before it goes out of print. For those with attitude that don't mind waiting it out, you can pre-order Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Season One, Volume One at Amazon. [via JEFusion, Henshin Justice] Did you know?
