I was on a train at the time and everyone was as cool as ice. They were just focused on their cell phones. I've heard from others who were less lucky and that the quake was very scary with people freaking out.
Thanks for the heads up, I'll head down to Yoyogi tomorrow or Wednesday to grab some pictures.
I definitely contributed 1800 yen to that 5.5 million for Harry Potter.
The opening of Soredemo was freaking awesome this week. I'm going to have to agree with others, I still can't comprehend why you aren't giving this excellent slice of life show a chance. It's got a nice sharp wit to it. Now, does anyone know where I can find any Mori's Rainbow Delight?
Clearly all anime should open like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sarYH0z948
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!
I mean... Demons' Souls was made in Japan and it was made of 100% win.
I personally, am a lover of ALL RPGs, no matter where they come from. I just really enjoy the basic RPG mechanics. Baldur's Gate will probably always be number 1 to me and FFVI number 2. I'm happy with both genre's still. but Tim makes a good point. JRPGs don't sell like they used to and ME2, DA, and Fallout have shown that WRPGs most certainly do.
Yeah, I have to admit I didn't finish that myself. Bad example...
@Mike LeChevallier:
Which is why someone needs to actually check out the show. The maid thing barely plays a role in the show. Sure they're dressed as maids sometimes, but they hardly ever make reference to it and large portions of the show take place outside the "Maid Cafe".
As I recall no one wanted to give Angle Beats a shot either...
I'm really surprised no one is doing Soredemo, quality show. I definitely think you all are missing out.
I might give it a shot but peskymiller makes it sound too sweet for me. Well, if it pops up in my convenience store I'll give it a while. I'm still waiting for my strawberry soda.
Oh, I walked by that place about a month ago, didn't realize it wasn't open yet. I pass though.
They played that second commercial on the TVs along Marunouchi line platforms for a couple weeks earlier this year.
I enjoyed the first episode. As of right now I plan to follow it. Hope it turns out alright. It's this and Index for me this season I think.
I live in Nakano... actually I go to that hyakuen store occasionally, so I will definitely have to check this out. Thanks for the heads up, lol.
Hmmm, nothing better ever happen to Atlus. I hope this means more great Atlus games and not less.
I guess the person that was following Occult Academy dropped it? That's sad, I thought it was the best show this season so far. Oh well.
Those are some pretty killer deals, but I'm already where so I can't partake. I actually work in Ikebukuro though. Well, I can't take the deal but I can let you know I'm in town right? Maybe if you have from free time during TGS I can buy ya a drink.
At any rate, those are sweet deals, definitely worth checking out.
@Drew8898:
Cirno was playable in Tohou 9: Phantasmagoria of a Flower View.
I was really hoping for a Touhou 13 announcement for this Comiket but this is pretty darn good. It'll be new gameplay that ZUN hasn't done before, so that's always interesting. At any rate, I'll pick it up at some point.
Zun definitely knows his audience. Cirno is one of the most popular characters so a game staring her will surely go over well.
The ultimate would be the return of Mima though, nothing could top that.
There's no doubt that it's been hot here in Tokyo since the rainy season ended but it's still cooler than where I'm from in the states.
To me the biggest difference is I'm out walking more and riding the trains rather than getting in my car and driving. 17 Americans died in the heat wave last week.
In short, when it gets hot, drink water, run the AC.
Well even if it is cooler than home it sucks. I'm ready for September.
