First name: WithheldThis article made me so mad. How are these guys short of work? Mizushima Hiro finished up "Tokyo DOGS" not too long ago and he's got a lead role in the upcoming "Beck" movie. Eita's marriage was just announced; we don't know how it's going to affect his career yet.
And really, shouldn't any person's career take a little slow-down when they have increased family obligations? I mean, I wouldn't want a husband (or a dad) with MatsuJun's schedule. Shouldn't we be hearing about how Hiro and Eita are AWESOME significant others? That news makes me more inclined to watch their upcoming projects--not less.
There's no romance, but "Kaibutsu-kun" is incredibly well-done. It's adorable, hilarious, and (unexpectedly) poignant.
@lumi I hear you. A lot of these dramas were fun to watch, but...also a little painful at times. I guess the fans here thought the fun outweighed the ouch. ;)
And I am likewise shocked (though definitely not appalled) to find HanaDan not on this list. I've got a love/hate relationship with the show; maybe more people are like that, too?
Adorable!
"Akihabara @DEEP" is amazing, especially for an anime/manga fan looking to make their first foray into J-drama. "My Girl" is also legitimately, thoughtfully good. You can always grab a stiff drink and suffer through "Hana Yori Dango" for the shared cultural experience. (HanaDan is fun, but my God, it's also very painful.)
There's just so much right about this commercial. The hair, the background music, the straight-faced treatment of the puppet dog...bear?
Thanks for the hotness!
@Kiriska I totally agree. This is a nice respite, indeed.
Akina's super-cute; I agree with HoodedMiracle that her hair is awesome. But...eight of the last ten idols have been ladies. Man candy, please? :D
Seeing this post in my blogroll made me so happy! I was really wary about this drama at first, but the first two episodes have completely sold me. I like the choices they've made with new characters, which plotlines to include, etc...and you can't beat a Sunako/Kyohei fight! Highly entertaining and well-executed for the genre.
Arama hit on this a little while ago. The discussion yielded some pretty interesting results. http://community.livejournal.com/aramatheydidnt/505869.html
Am I crazy, or are those lyrics nowhere near a translation of George Michael's? Same with the EXILE video, too...
Okay. I'm trying to think of a role in Ryu Ga Gotoku (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0991243/) that Kazunari could pull off. Not that he's a bad actor by any means, but he's not the toughest-looking guy out there...
