If Tim's interview with producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi got you excited about the upcoming release of Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes for PS3 and Wii, then you'll be interested in these various news bits I've found relating to the anime and video game franchise! Starting things off with the header image, Alafista has discovered some Sengoku Basara 3 Instant Cup Ramen, made by Sugakiya. The soup base is crushed pig bone and soy sauce. Looks like a tasty way to prepare for a ridiculous battle!
Next, Fuji-Q Highland amusement park in Yamanashi is recreating feudal Japan with "Kassen Sengoku Basara," an attraction based on the franchise. You can become a samurai and fight against the evil army of Oda Nobunaga. To celebrate the opening, a traditionally dressed Yukimura Sanada played a war drum for the initial crowd. You can see pictures over on Gigazine or a video below the jump.
And in terms of actual news, Mania has confirmed that Funimation will be including seven bonus mini episodes of the Sengoku Basara anime as extras when the first season is released on Blu-ray this October. Called Sengoku Basara Chosokabe Motochika-kun and Mori-kun, four of the episodes will be a Blu-ray exclusive, with the DVD release only getting three of the episodes. If you want the extras and don't own a Blu-ray player yet, maybe now's the time to consider picking up one now that they can be found for only $100? Or better yet, consider picking up a PS3 to play the new game on!
