Ranma 1/2 is going to be a live action drama photo

Wow, talk about blast from the past! Rumiko Takahashi's classic sensation Ranma 1/2 is going to be made into a two hour drama, to be aired on NHK in December. I'm pretty excited to see some sex changing, animal changing, hot water tossing, kung-fu battles! I'm a bit worried about the category "drama", as there may be some liberal editing to get this to fit the genre a bit. However, I get a feeling with Ranma being such a nostalgic hit, the producers may be wary to upset that old school crowd.

What do you guys think? Do you think they might be able to pull  this off? Actor Kento Kak is playing male Ranma, while Natsuna Kishimoto is going to be the female role. Haven't seen Ranma 1/2? Get on it immediately!
