Oooh! It looks so nice! Japan is starting to figure out that Hollywood-ish high-budget shine. I saw it in 20th Century Boys, and now I see it in Yamato here.

Fellow fans of Japanese television and film will recognize the hunky/handsome/I'mNotGayIPromiseReally Takuya Kimura (Kimitaku is what the girls call him) all suited up, hair looking insanely perfect. No, really, in all straightness, the fist-bitingly hot Meisa Kuroki is also in the film. Power cast all around, really.

As for the movie itself, it looks awesome from this very short teaser. The CG work is astounding. We already know the story is good. Bring it on. Can't wait.
