Really unexpected! Negima ending in 3 chapters?!

Ok, if Bleach entering its final arc was a surprise, this next piece of news comes out of nowhere. Ken Akamatsu's magical action/adventure manga series, Mahou Sensei Negima, is ending in three chapters.

You read that right.

The long running series that's been building toward its climax for the past couple of years is coming to an end in only three chapters! I've actually haven't touched the series in about half a year as I've been wanting to let the volumes build up before I jumped back in.

Looks like I won't have to wait a whole lot longer. My only hope is that this conclusion isn't Akamatsu having his hand forced by the publisher and his editors. Negima has come a long way since it first debuted and it deserves a real ending. If you have been keeping up on a weekly basis, try to keep the spoilers to a minimum in the comments. I've been following Negima since its debut and I'm sure others would also appreciate getting a chance to hit the ending unspoiled!
