Register now for America’s first 21-and-over con

Register now for America’s first 21-and-over con photo

I have a dream that one day a con will rise up and be without glomping, a con without squeeing, and a con without red-hot yaoi; basically this amounts to a con without children, ie. children who can’t afford fake IDs. Providence Anime Conference in Rhode Island will be the first convention to be 21+, held October 3-5. Hurry up and register now, because the price for a three-day pass is 65$ for the first 250 people; and only 2,000 people will be able to enter this 3-day senior citizen love fest.

Providence Anime Con will feature all the convention regulars, like a cosplay show, panels, and a dealers room, but will be tweaked ever-so-slightly for the more mature anime fan. Like, instead of an opening ceremony, there will be a keynote address; how swanky! Could this be the Game Developer Conference of the anime world? Only time will tell.
