Well folks, the best Gundam series in all of Japanator has gotten even better. Not only are we getting all 12 episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team on Blu-ray, but a new short OVA called The Battle Against Three Dimensions will accompany the collection.

The new OVA is going to focus on a battle that pits Shiro against a platoon of Zeon troops that have surrounded Shiro's entire unit in three different directions. Contributing to the writing of the new short, Ichiro Okouchi (One of the script writers for Turn A Gundam and Stellvia) will test his luck with Shiro's new battle. 

As wonderful as it is to see the cast of 08th MS Team return with a new coating of animation, the entire set will cost you a whopping 26,250 yen. However, those that do plan to get it will be rewarded with some artwork and storyboards from the original series, a pilot film, a nice box that has illustrations from Hajime Katoki, plus some jacket cover illustrations from Toshihiro Kawamoto, Kunio Okawara, and Kimitoshi Yamane.

The 08th MS Team set will be out on February 22nd, 2013, which will give collectors enough time to plan their attack on the Zeon troops that occupy the jungles.
