That's really all you need to know. Yakuza 4 is coming to the west in spring, next year.
Awww yeah.
It seems that the sales of Yakuza 3's western release were better than expected, and now Sega has given the thumbs-up to bringing over the sequel to that, which is out now in Japan.
Rather than just Kazuma Kiryu, Yakuza 4 follows the stories of three other tough-looking Japanese dudes, which all intertwine into another gritty tale of gangsters, crime, and going somewhere to do play pachinko or visit a convenience store.
Oh, and if you're concerned about the hostess bars getting cut again, you might be in luck. According to some import reviews, that particular minigame is integrated into one of the character's story arcs, so it might be tougher to excise cleanly this time around, should they insist on doing so.
Expect some more details around E3, when lead designer and tan fanatic Toshihiro Nagoshi will be fielding questions. You can submit your own questions here. Yakuza 4!
Still need to play Yakuza 2 though...
Been wanting to play Yakuza 3, but too lazy to bust out my PS2 to catch up on Yakuza 2... don't want to skip Yakuza 2...
