Welcome to a special Memorial Day edition of Releases for the Week. According to Wikipedia, Memorial Day is observed by visiting cemeteries; but all otaku know that Memorial Day is better observed by watching massive amounts of anime and honoring the brave heroes of our culture that have fallen during their epic battles.

This week FUNimation has preformed a season box set attack on our pokemon, and it was super effective! Dragon Ball Z fans out there rejoice, for we have the season five box set of Dragon Ball Z released this week, which covers the entire Cell saga. Though the real star is the season one box set of One Piece, which is uncut to the bone. Which means no lollypops, no Zolos, and no pop guns; this is One Piece at its finest. It also has marathon mode, which plays all the episodes back to back with no OP or ED or recap in-between them. Check out all the releases after the jump.
