This week proves ripe for those who are seeking to grab entire anime series in huge chunks with complete collections of such anime as Venus Versus Virus, Elfen Lied and Black Cat. Also, the first parts of the DVD collections of newer anime such as Gundam 00 and Kurokami also comes out this week.

The biggest release of this week is from BONES, the studio that brought us titles such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Eureka SeVen, is the samurai anime film Sword of the Stranger which comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD. On the manga side of things, Viz gives us Children of the sea and Gestalt, which are both sure to satisfy those of you out there looking for something a bit different in your manga collection.

Just Sword of the Stranger on Blu-ray for me. Amazon should have left it on my doorstep this morning. Hopefull I'll be watching tonight.

And I'll *sigh* once more for Baccano as i continue to not buy it in hopes of an eventual Blu-ray release.

hmm..only elfen lied thing i can find is the 2006 one. is there a difference do u know?

I think its named differently as "Elfen Lied 2: Complete Collection" on Amazon. As to where the "2" comes from I have no idea since I wasn't aware that there was a second season for Elfen Lied.

@Kougeru: Yeah, it is the same. They had a copy of this set at Best Buy last Friday and I didn't see any differences.

Baccano! 4 is out! Awesome! Now I get to spend more money.
