Good afternoon readers! Once again we've got the latest and greatest releases to hit the US from all major otaku companies. Looking for some gun-toting action? FUNimation has a complete box set of Black Lagoon out. Don't want to sleep tonight? Pick up volume 4 of the Higurashi manga. The ending to the Cotton Drifting Arc is so much creepier than in the anime.

All in all, it's a hefty shopping day: FUNimation and Yen Press seemed to have explosions in their release calendar, so be prepared for a wave of titles.

A question I have for all of you: do you find it helpful when I link to all the products, or could you care less? If it's a useful service, then I'll continue on with it. It's just when faced with a daunting list of titles (like down below), it can be quite fearsome.

Brad, it helps me out to see the links, especially when there's a long running series that might use the same name over and over.

At some point I'll grab Karin, DMC, Kimikiss, Asu no Yoichi, School Rumble, and Wallflower from the manga list. I'll have to look up some of those adult titles. Nothing for me from the anime list this week.

it's very useful when you link em. IF it's an anime I'm interested in. Sola boxset i'd get..if it had a dub...paying taht much for a sub-only is not my style. i really hate the english title of Higurashi. "when they cry" by the logic they used there...umineko would also be "when they cry" but they can't do that..should've just done a full translation instead of taken liberties

Man, so much stuff that I want but need to start! Detroit Metal City, Fate/Stay Night, Doujin Work, Higurashi (I REALLY want to get the manga), School Rumble (dang, still need to get vol. 3), & Yotsuba&! (YAY FOR RERELEASE!!)

I actually picked up Yotsuba&! 6 last week... and it seems it was out for a bit? I dunno how this even happened, and it seemed it slipped under everyone's radar. Either way, YAY MOAR YOTSUBA.

Too bad the design is different enough from ADV's to make me consider rebuying them all. OR PERHAPS DEVIOUSLY CLEVER.

Why is it that when I buy a series that out of print all of a sudden the rights for it get picked up and then its re-release?

Oh, and as far as whether it's helpful that you do this...I just browse for things I recognize when I look through anime or manga stores, usually. I'll pay attention here to releases of full series, but not really to specific volumes.

I was sad. I went to Barnes & Noble this weekend and they didn't have Yozakura Quartet vol. 5. :< Ah well. I'll get it eventually.
